if your laptop is set to output sound or input. This post will help show the difference between audio input vs output on a laptop computer.
If you are using your laptop’s built-in mic for recording, it would be considered an “audio input.” You could also plug in external speakers or headphones to listen to music or watch videos without disturbing others around you. This option is called “audio output” and usually corresponds with the speaker icon on your laptops taskbar that looks like this.
If you are looking to use your laptop to Skype with friends or family, you will want to make sure your audio input is set to the “microphone” option. This way, your friends and family will be able to hear you loud and clear. If you’re not sure how to change these settings, we’ve got you covered!
